Aloha!  Leading your club is a privilege and is rewarding! The People of Action Awards program is a guide for Rotary Clubs to strive for excellence and recognize clubs for the many accomplishments completed during the year. Whether your projects are big or small, your service makes an impact. The forms can be found on the rotaryD5000.org website under Quick Links.

The District Governor Citation and Checklists are due June 15, 2025. Voting ballots will be sent to the Club Presidents by July 6 to be completed by July 15, 2025.  Selected Awards will be presented at the 2025 District Conference in Honolulu, May 30- June 1, 2025.  The People of Action Awards will be presented at a Virtual Celebration in August, 2025.

Rotary Clubs will be divided into three divisions. There will be awards given out to the First and Runner Up finishers within each of the Divisions for selected categories.

The Divisions are based on the club size as determined by the July 1, 2024 Rotary International Invoice.

Small Club Division: 17 & under members

Medium Club Division: 18 to 29 members

Large Club Division: 30 or more members


CLUB of the YEAR:

The Club of the Year will be the club with the highest total score from the award categories as determined by the judges, plus bonus points AND has a net increase in membership of 2 members as of June 2025. The judges will award points to the top five clubs in each of the following categories. First place will receive five points. Second place, four points, etc.

  • Qualify for the District Governor Citation (5 points)
  • Qualify for the Rotary Club Excellence Award (2points)

  •  Annual Fund per capita giving of $100 or more (5 points)
  • Polio Plus Giving of $50 per capita or $1,500 per club (5 points)

THE ROTARY FOUNDATION CLUB RECOGNITION
(7/1/24-6/30/25 Award by RI around October 2025)
100% Foundation Giving Club: For clubs that achieve an average of $100 in per capita giving and 100 percent participation, with every dues-paying member contributing at least $25 to any or all of the following during the Rotary year: Annual Fund, PolioPlus Fund, approved global grants, or Endowment Fund
100% Every Rotarian, Every Year Club: minimum Annual Fund contribution of $100 per capita during the Rotary year, and every dues-paying member must personally contribute at least $25 to the Annual Fund during the year.
100% Rotary’s Promise Club: A designation provided to clubs in which every dues-paying member supports The Rotary Foundation’s Endowment with a minimum commitment of $1,000 or more in an estate plan or via an outright gift of $1,000 or more. A certificate honoring the achievement will be provided upon request.
100% Paul Harris Fellow Club: For clubs in which all dues-paying members are Paul Harris Fellows. This is a one-time recognition.
100% Paul Harris Society Club: For clubs in which every dues-paying member contributes a minimum of $1,000 to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or global grants within a Rotary year.
Top Three Per Capita in Annual Fund Giving: to the three clubs in the District that give the most per capita to the Annual Fund
