DESCRIPTION: Rotary District 5000 Invites Rotary\, Rotaract\, and Interact 
 Clubs Statewide to participate in the Honolulu Festival Grand Parade on Su
 nday\, March 9 WHO:Rotary\, Rotaract\, and Interact Clubs in District 5000
  are invited to walk in the Honolulu Festival Grand Parade taking place on
  Sunday\, March 9 along Kalākaua Avenue. The parade route starts at Fort 
 DeRussy Park and concludes at Kapi‘olani Park. Rotary members\, family a
 nd friends are welcome to march in the parade. Deadline to participate is 
 Wednesday\, March 5. Space is limited. WHAT:A weekend of entertaining cult
 ural performances\, the 29th Annual Honolulu Festival is a treasured celeb
 ration of cultural exchange\, March 7-9. Presented by the nonprofit Honolu
 lu Festival Foundation under the banner of Pacific Harmony\, the theme for
  this year’s festival is Bridging Cultures\, Together for a Peaceful Tom
 orrow. The festival culminates in Waikīkī on March 9\, with the Grand Pa
 rade along Kalākaua Avenue starting at 4:30 p.m.\, followed by the Nagaok
 a Fireworks Show at 8:30 p.m. WHY:Marching in the parade with Rotary is a 
 fun and meaningful way to showcase community service\, leadership\, and gl
 obal impact. It’s a chance to connect with like-minded individuals\, pro
 mote goodwill\, and inspire others to take action. It also uplifts Rotary
 ’s profile in the district. WHEN: Sunday\, March 9\, 2025 | 3:45 p.m. ch
 eck-in | 4:30 p.m. parade starts WHERE:Fort DeRussy Park\, Waikīkī (corn
 er of Kalākaua Avenue and Saratoga Road)   CLOSURES:Kalākaua Avenue and
  Saratoga Road will be closed to vehicle traffic promptly at 3:45 p.m. Ple
 ase plan accordingly and consider arriving early as roadways will be conge
 sted. PARKING:Parking is available in public lots around Fort DeRussy. How
 ever\, it is recommended that particpants get dropped off. Remember\, you 
 will start at Fort DeRussy and end at Kapi‘olani Park which is about two
  miles away. WHAT TO BRING:Wear your Rotary branded clothing\, hats\, and/
 or club shirts\; water bottle\; sunscreen\; comfortable walking shoes SIGN
 AGE / SWAG:District 5000 will provide Rotary banners\, signs with impact w
 ords and statements on them to carry. The District will also be purchasing
  glow sticks which all walkers can pass out to parade-goers along the rout
