Tree Planting at Gunstock Ranch, in Partnership with Hawaii Forest Legacy Foundation

Reforestation makes a difference in protecting the rare beauty of our world. Join the vision of the Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative ("HLRI") in implementing innovative forest restoration models that will not only return the endemic forests to the landscape of Hawaii but will allow these forests to be financially self-supporting both now and into the future. 500 holes for 500 trees will be prepared by HLRI field crew for planting. Volunteers will help with transplanting trees, fertilizing, and possibly other tasks.
Please consider bringing closed-toe shoes, hat, sunscreen, water, long pants, trowel, gardening gloves, mask, and knee pads. The work area will be sun-exposed with no shade or hydration. Porta potty will be available in the field.
Please contact Andrea Mitev (541)-231-8786 for more information and registration details.
