For years, we have been out in force doing projects in our communities in April and April 22nd happens to be Earth Day! Together we can make an impact State-wide. Let’s get out and show the world that we are People of Action. Please read more below for a list of projects, many of which are in partnership with our Interact clubs.
Oahu, April 22, 8am to Noon. Tree Planting on UH West Oahu Campus. Open to all Rotarians, volunteers, family and friends! The Rotary Club of Kapolei Sunset, together with other West Side Rotary and Interact Clubs, will be assisting the Niu Now group in planting coconut trees at the UH West Oahu Campus, 91-1001 Farrington Hwy, Kapolei. Bring gloves, shovel, gardening tools and water. Wear a hat, closed toe shoes and sunscreen.
East Hawaii Rotarians have been collectively working on improving the water condition at Liliʻuokalani Park by using bioremediation technology in the form of "Genki Balls". Join us for our next session on Saturday, April 22nd from 1-4 p.m. at Kua O Ka La Charter School (345 Makalika Street) to make the next set of Genki Balls. Weʻll gather again at 4:30 to toss more balls into Waihonu Pond at Liliʻuokalani Park.
