for the impact and success of the Rescue Tube Foundation.
Rotarian Branch Lotspeich was honored this week by the Hawaii State House of Representatives for the impact and success of the Rescue Tube Foundation.
In 2008, after a presentation by guest speaker Dr. Monty Downs, The Rotary Club of Hanalei Bay became aware of what rescue tubes are and what they can do. Dr Downs, now the head of Kauai Hospice, was President of the Kauai Lifeguard Association at that time. The club was inspired by the project and purchased and installed 5 rescue tubes which were installed on the North Shore of our island.
