Big Island, Nov 5, 10am-1pm.  Learn about Effective Microorganisms (EM) and their use and effectiveness in pond and water systems, agricultural and personal benefits. We will make EM Genki Balls (used in the Genki Ala Wai Clean Up Project) in preparation for the Dec.3 ball toss in our efforts to clean up the Waihonu Traditional fish pond at Liliu`okalani Park. Ala Wai Technical Advisor, Hiro Naga will join us from Honolulu to lead us through this process. Ongoing: Donate blood to the Blood Bank of Hawaii, Group code : 3010, Eco Rotary.  Each day, 200 donors are needed. 
 
Ongoing: The Rotary Club of Honolulu is teaming with Miracle Ear Foundation’s Gift of Sound™ program, which provides free hearing aids to those that qualify. The application fee is $150, which includes a hearing assessment, hearing aid fittings and follow-up adjustments. Here are best practice tips for projects or events
 
• Join together Rotary, Rotaract, or Interact clubs for a larger, impactful project in your country  
• Align with one or more of Rotary’s areas of focus.
• Promote it using a media platform (such as Facebook, Twitter, or a local newspaper) to raise interest. 
• Attract non- Rotary members
