The Hele-on Bus System is currently operating for FREE during DISCON 2023. There is no fare to use the Hele-on Bus System during your time in Hilo. Here's how to use Hele-On:
At Hilo International Airport, take Bus Route #101. This bus route arrives at Hilo Airport hourly beginning at 6:32 A.M. (e.g., 7:32 A.M., 8:32 A.M., 9:32 A.M., etc.) with a final pick at the airport at 7:32 P.M. Mondays through Saturdays. It takes approximately 32 minutes to the Grand Naniloa Hotel which is the 10th stop after leaving the airport. To return to the airport, take the same Bus Route #101, at the Grand Naniloa Hotel.
