The Leading Ladies of Maui event held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the University of Hawai'i Maui Campus, was an incredible success. Almost 60 participants from all over the island of Maui came together to learn from eight leading ladies on how to become empowered themselves. The event was designed "just for the ladies" and was made possible by the generous donation of the Rotary clubs on the island.

The event was not just about learning how to become empowered but also about giving back to the community. Participants were encouraged to bring donations of female hygiene products for the girls at Ka Hale A Ke Ola Shelters. The response was overwhelming, and too many donations were received to fit into individual bags. Instead, all the donations were bagged into grocery shopping bags and taken to the shelter. It was heartwarming to see so many women come together to support other women in need.

The event was not just informative and philanthropic, but it was also a delightful afternoon tea buffet. The participants dined on an array of delicious treats and registered attendees received a special treat bag. The atmosphere was one of positivity and support as women from all walks of life came together to learn, share, and empower each other.

The eight leading ladies who spoke at the event were accomplished in their fields, and they shared their experiences, knowledge, and advice on how to become empowered. Participants learned about topics such as leadership, financial empowerment, self-care, and more. The speakers were inspirational, and the audience was engaged and inspired.

At the end of the event, every participant shared with the organizers how much they enjoyed the event and asked if it could be held every year. The organizers were thrilled to receive such positive feedback and are considering making it an annual event.

The event was made possible by the generous donation of the Rotary clubs on the island, and the organizers are grateful for their support.
