We are pleased to announce that Hawai’i Rotary District 5000 has received two first place awards among the districts in Rotary International Zone 26. In 2024-25 our district was in first place in the Zone for:
- Highest Participation by Clubs in Global Grants
- Highest Participation in the PolioPlus Society
Awards for the past Rotary year were just announced at the Rotary Zones 26/27 Institute held in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Zones 26 and 27 make up the Western United States and part of Southwestern Canada and consists of 30 Districts.
Many thanks to our District Rotary Foundation and International Service Committee, under the chairmanship of James Ham and Arjun Aryal, for their leadership in these areas. And a special shoutout to Past District Governor Roz Cooper for her leadership and championing of the Polio Plus Society.
And, of course, many thanks to all of our Hawai’i Rotary club members for their generosity in giving to support our Rotary Foundation.
These awards remind us of our collective impact at home and around the world with the many service projects we do and with Rotary’s worldwide initiative to eradicate polio.
Congratulations and thanks, Hawai’i Rotary members!
